Shivam Jumani

Shivam has over 7 years of experience working with the public sector in the United States on a variety of economic development, urban planning, and sustainability projects. Before joining TBFC he worked at Buro Happold’s New York City office, primarily focused on economic development, urban planning, and climate action projects with public sector and non-profit clients.


Most notably, at Buro Happold, he led the engagement with the New York City Economic Development Corporation to develop a strategy to grow NYC’s green economy and ensure that the city’s workforce is well-equipped to take on jobs in the growing climate-related businesses. Before that, he worked as the project manager for New York State’s $300m Reimagine the Canals initiative to transform the historic Erie Canal in upstate New York into a driver for economic development and climate resilience.


In 2023, he completed the Forefront Fellowship with the Urban Design Forum, which partnered with NYC’s Department of Sanitation to re-envision the city’s approach to waste management and implement circular waste practices. He has a Master’s degree from Columbia University in Real Estate Development and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from New York University.
